Senior Firmware Engineer L

Candidates will be responsible for the architecture, design and verification of FPGA sub-systems within Lumacron's flagship network monitoring products. The role is multi-disciplinary and includes development of FPGA IP cores, full FPGA System-on-Chip RTL designs and verification testbenches. Senior roles may include mentoring of less experienced colleagues.

Designing FPGA architectures from a technical specification
Design with Xilinx and Intel FPGA and CPLD devices
Implementing high speed, multi-frequency clocking architectures
Designing (code entry to timing analysis) using Intel and/or Xilinx FPGA tool sets
Designing for high-speed optical interfaces
Designing for high-speed SERDES interfaces (up to 28G)
Knowledge of revision control systems; CVS, Subversion, GIT or similar
Ability to work to tight timescales, individually and collaboratively
Qualified to degree level in electronic engineering, computer science or equivalent discipline or equivalent experience
Experience of designing FPGA IP cores or sub-systems, Experience developing software / embedded software for FPGA-based hardware systems
Specific experience of Telecommunication/Data Communication hardware products
Knowledge of Telecoms Framing and Packet structures (OTN, SONET/SDH, PDH, Ethernet)
