We’re looking for two experienced Senior Full Stack Developers with strong PHP and Laravel experience to join us and work on a major long-term client engagement.

Our client is an established UK business with a substantial customer-facing digital estate. You’ll work as part of the development team responsible for applications used every day by its customers and colleagues.

This is a senior, hands-on development role. You’ll work extensively with PHP and Laravel across APIs, integrations and customer-facing applications, alongside React and TypeScript on the Front End.

The core stack is PHP, Laravel, React, TypeScript and MySQL, with WordPress/WooCommerce and integrations into enterprise CRM, subscription billing and other business systems.

What we’re looking for

• PHP, including modern PHP development practices
• Laravel, building and maintaining production applications and APIs
• React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Building and consuming REST APIs
• MySQL and SQL
• Designing and building integrations between systems
• Git, automated testing and CI/CD
• Debugging complex PHP/Laravel applications and production issues
• Taking technical ownership from design through to production

This isn’t a role where everything arrives as a perfectly written ticket. You need to be comfortable understanding requirements, asking questions, proposing solutions and making sensible technical decisions.

This is a genuinely senior full stack role.

We’re looking for developers who have already owned production applications and integrations and are comfortable seeing problems through from beginning to end.

Experience with WordPress/WooCommerce and PHP plugin development is highly desirable. Experience with Dynamics 365, Chargebee, Azure, Docker, payment systems or subscription businesses would also be useful.

Communication matters. You’ll work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders within the client business, so you need to be able to explain what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and what you recommend.

The opportunity

You’ll work across customer self-service, eCommerce and field sales applications, together with the PHP/Laravel APIs and integrations connecting them to core business systems.

There is a mixture of existing platforms to improve, difficult integration problems to solve and new products to build. You’ll have real ownership and influence over technical decisions.

The role is fully remote within the UK, with occasional travel to the clients Glasgow office.

Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience.
