Full Job Description
Human Resources Department
Fixed term (1 year), Full time (35 hours per week)
Salary £30,280 per annum (pending job evaluation review)
We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and motivated Senior HR Administrator to join our HR Department.
Are you someone who enjoys bringing structure, clarity and organisation to a busy working environment?
As Senior HR Administrator, you'll take an important role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our HR Administration service. Combining hands on HR administration with responsibility for coordinating the team's workload, you'll help ensure that requests are dealt with efficiently, priorities are managed effectively and colleagues receive a consistent, high-quality service.
You'll be instrumental in keeping work moving, identifying potential bottlenecks and responding to changing demands, while providing guidance and support to the wider HR Administration team. Using UniDesk data and feedback, you'll also help identify where things could work better, taking forward practical improvements that enhance the way we deliver our service.
You'll bring substantial experience of HR administration or HR operations, ideally gained in a busy, fast paced environment. You'll be confident managing a varied workload, handling HR transactions and queries and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail across all aspects of your work.
Just as importantly, you'll have experience of coordinating work, supporting colleagues and balancing competing priorities.
You'll be comfortable using HR systems and to track progress, identify issues and inform decisions, with the judgement to recognise when matters need to be escalated. We're looking for someone who can take ownership, remain calm under pressure and bring a methodical, practical approach to resolving problems and maintaining standards.
Experience of working within a shared service environment, using systems such as UniDesk or CiAnywhere, or using data to improve operational performance would be particularly useful.
A relevant qualification and CIPD membership would also be welcomed. However, we're equally interested in the knowledge and experience you can bring to the role. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the operational side of HR and is ready to take on greater responsibility for coordinating service delivery and supporting a team.
If you have the experience, organisational skills and confidence to help us deliver an effective and reliable HR service, we'd welcome the opportunity to hear what you could bring to the role.
