Experteer Overview In this role you apply senior Human Factors expertise to complex, safety-critical projects across rail, aviation and energy, guiding delivery within a multi-disciplinary team. You will lead HF deliverables, manage work packages, and support commercial planning while mentoring colleagues and growing Arup's HF capability. You'll build strong client relationships, influence multidisciplinary design decisions, and contribute to strategic growth. This role offers meaningful, socially useful work within a values-driven, collaborative environment. Pay / Benefits

  • Lead and deliver Human Factors work packages on diverse projects Mentor colleagues and develop HF capability within the team Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate HF into design decisions Manage client relationships, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement Contribute to proposals, commercial planning, and business development Apply a range of Human Factors methods to high-hazard sectors Support strategy and growth of the Human Factors offering Attend client meetings and contribute to project reporting and governance Tasks Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (psychology, human factors or systems engineering preferred) Chartered/registered or working towards with BPS or IEHF Experience as a senior consultant in a consulting environment in Human Factors Experience in high hazard sectors (rail, aviation, energy) Experience with HF methods (task/workload assessment, cognitive ergonomics, physical ergonomics, environmental design, organizational behaviour) Key requirements Profit Share Private medical insurance Life assurance Accident insurance Income protection Flexible benefits
