Full Job Description
Experteer Overview As a Senior Maritime Civil Engineer at Arup, you will help shape coastal schemes, flood protections and port developments across the UK. You will join the Energy, Water and Resources team in Liverpool or other UK North offices, delivering technical solutions across a wide project portfolio. You'll work with cross-functional colleagues and stakeholders to move projects from concept through construction while ensuring high-quality design and reporting. This is a growth-oriented role in a fast-expanding maritime practice that values mentoring, collaboration and practical, impactful engineering. You'll have a chance to influence coastal infrastructure and support clients across government, ports Pay / Benefits
- Deliver project work from early concept design through to detailed design and construction support Provide technical leadership for civil/maritime designs, calculations, models, reports and drawings Manage project design and reporting quality; oversee deliverables Oversee project commercial management, tracking progress and costs against programme and budget Plan team resources and coordinate with supporting disciplines Mentor and develop junior engineers and provide technical guidance Tasks Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (BEng/MEng/MSc) Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership Experience in coastal, maritime or offshore engineering projects (breakwaters, flood defences, quay walls, jetties, dredging, scour protection) Experience producing technical documentation (reports, calculations, drawings, specifications) Knowledge of physical modelling and metocean/wave/sediment transport analysis Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers Ability to manage small projects or work packages within multidisciplinary teams Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Interest in delivering maritime and port infrastructure projects Transferable civil engineering experience welcomed Key requirements Profit Share Private medical insurance Life assurance Accident insurance Income protection Flexible benefits
