Experteer Overview In this permanent role, you will lead specialist charging policy within one of Ofgem's most strategically important programmes. You will influence how energy system costs are allocated and recovered across Great Britain, working with senior leaders from Ofgem, Government and industry. You'll join a fast-paced, collaborative team to tackle complex policy challenges with a clear link to Ofgem's long-term strategy. Your work will help protect consumers and support the Net Zero transition. Pay / Benefits
- Lead on specialist charging policy within a major programme Manage delivery with clear goals and continuous improvement Communicate complex issues clearly to diverse audiences Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop solutions Inform nationally significant policy decisions with analysis and options Tasks Policy and regulation skills: identify, analyse, and articulate complex problems; develop solutions with cross-functional teams; present options with risks and dependencies Energy Systems: understanding of GB energy system and economics of investment (markets, charging, policies) Managing delivery: set goals, support problem-solving, seek feedback, drive progress Communication: articulate relevance and strategic fit to priorities Working collaboratively: engage with internal and external partners effectively Key requirements hybrid working (1 day in office) Civil Service pension contributions 30 days annual leave after 2 years training and development opportunities flexible working hours family friendly policies
