Full Job Description

Kibble is the specialist provider of services for at risk children and young people across the UK. Many of the young people the organisation cares for have experienced significant trauma in their lives and we provide a safe, stable environment that is both nurturing and therapeutic. With a robust support network and wide range of integrated services, we offer young people opportunities and encourage them to believe in themselves, feel a sense of belonging, and realise their own self-worth.

Kibble is committed to keeping The Promise and expect all staff to contribute to the development and systems that will help deliver this for the benefit of children, young people, families/carers, and colleagues.

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to provide senior technical leadership across Kibble’s IT estate, with a primary focus on the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Microsoft‑based cloud and modern workplace services. The postholder will lead the ongoing transition from on‑premises infrastructure to a secure, resilient, and scalable cloud‑first architecture, while also ensuring the reliability and performance of core IT services across all Kibble locations.

Working as part of the IT team, the role combines strategic cloud architecture responsibilities with hands‑on operational support, and contribution to IT governance, service delivery and continuous improvement. This includes further integration of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and Power Platform services, ensuring secure, resilient and user-focused digital services that support collaboration, automation, cyber security, compliance and organisational transformation.

Main Duties:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s Microsoft 365 cloud, endpoint and modern workplace architecture
  • Oversee the administration, configuration and optimisation of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive
  • Design, manage and optimise Azure services and core cloud resources, ensuring secure, scalable and cost‑effective solutions
  • Identity, access and device management through Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Windows Autopilot, ensuring strong security and compliance
  • Implement and maintain standardised device provisioning, configuration, update and application deployment processes
  • Oversee information management, document storage, sharing, permissions and lifecycle management across SharePoint Online and OneDrive
  • Provide architectural oversight and governance for Power Platform solutions, enabling automation, reporting and digital process improvement
  • Act as senior escalation point for complex IT incidents and problems, providing advanced 2nd/3rd line support and technical guidance
  • Ensure the availability, performance and reliability of core IT services across all Kibble locations
  • Support cyber security, patching, backup, disaster recovery and risk mitigation activities in line with organisational and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to IT strategy, annual work planning, projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, standards and procedures, and participate in the on‑call rota to support critical systems when required.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Significant IT experience managing Microsoft 365 cloud services, Azure and modern workplace technologies.
  • Strong hands-on administration experience with Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Intune and Autopilot.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, identity management, MFA, conditional access, device compliance and endpoint security.
  • Experience of Microsoft Power Platform governance, automation and service improvement within a business environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into secure technical solutions.
  • Driving License due to the role being based across multiple locations

Desired:

  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator, Enterprise Administrator, Endpoint Administrator or Power Platform.
  • Experience of hybrid infrastructure and integration with on-premises services.
  • Experience of data protection controls and wider cyber security frameworks.
  • Experience of scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar tools.
