Senior Tax Manager

iMultiply is working in partnership with a leading Scottish Legal firm to recruit for a Senior Tax Manager.

The Role  

The role will be responsible for leading the provision, management and delivery of tax services for a varied and growing portfolio of clients. You will provide tax advisory services to the portfolio of individuals, partnerships, executries and trusts on various tax issues. You will also be involved other taxes including CGT, IHT, VAT & LBTT. 

The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Managing the compliance function
• Managing the team and playing a key role in their professional development.
• Implementing and developing the Controls and Compliance framework to ensure it is operating effectively. 
• Delivering a full range of tax services across a varied client base
• Developing client relationships
• Reviewing complex tax returns
• Collaborating with the team to provide guidance, motivation and support
• Overseeing and supporting managers with the day-to-day mentoring of tax graduates.
• Reviewing current working procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as and when required
• Devising tailored improvement plans for the team
• Participating in seminars to promote the tax services and encourage cross-selling across the Firm

The Person

• Be comfortable building rewarding relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ideally you will be CTA or CA qualified
• 10+ years' experience in tax planning
• A forward-thinking and proactive
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage your priorities and meet deadlines.
