We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Trainer to join Advice Direct Scotland and play a key role in building capability, supporting accreditation and delivering outstanding training to staff and external partners.

About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Trainer to join our Learning and Development team. As Senior Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and overseeing high quality training and coaching that equips employees with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to meet our customer needs and organisational goals.
You will ensure advisers have the knowledge, confidence and skills to deliver high quality outcomes for customers.
You will design non-accredited and where appropriate accredited training materials. The Senior Trainer contributes to the development and delivery of accredited external training, ensuring learning outcomes meet awarding body standards and organisational priorities. You will also support adviser development through structured learning and contribute to continuous improvement through feedback, quality monitoring and skills analysis.
What you need to succeed
Educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience in a similar or related role. You will have proven experience designing, developing and delivering high quality learning and development programmes, with the ability to research complex subject matter and translate it into engaging content.
You will have a natural flair for a variety of learning and development approaches, including blended and digital learning. You will demonstrate your confidence in being an effective facilitator, capable of managing group dynamics, influencing behaviours and communicating complex concepts clearly and confidently.
You will have strong communication and organisational skills, including the ability to manage training schedules and priorities. The role also requires a dedicated, creative, innovative and adaptable approach to learning design, with a willingness continually evolve delivery methods.
