Service Development Officer

With thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are looking for a Service Development Officer to join our registered charity which provides respite breaks to unpaid carers in their own homes throughout Shetland. Working as part of our busy office team, you would support the development of our services at Shetland Care Attendant Scheme (SCAS).

The postholder will be responsible for supporting and developing the service, including but not limited to:

• Maintaining accurate statistical records


• Preparing reports and statistical information for monitoring and evaluation purposes for both funders and Board


• Ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date and reviewed regularly


• Organising training for staff and maintaining accurate training records


• Creating and maintaining a new website and all publications


• Developing the Scheme's public profile through social media


• Fostering good relations with statutory and voluntary bodies


• Providing administration support to our Board, as well as other duties required to ensure the efficient running of services.
