Shunter / Driver

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members , and this cost will be deducted from an employee's first FULL month's salary payment. Job purpose/about the role The post holder will be responsible for the daily operations of the Fleet vehicle movements within Kitty Brewster yard/workshop. Thier responsibilities will be to carry out duties in compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures and operate Council equipment to the required standard and report any defects to their supervisor. There maybe requirements for the completion of paperwork.

• Hold a Category C (HGV) driving licence and relevant CPC, Ability to drive a heavy goods vehicle.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers
