Full Job Description

  • Supporting the pre-construction phase of a major renewables project.
  • Liaising directly with the client and other project stakeholders.
  • Preparing and reviewing method statements and associated project documentation.
  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of upcoming works.
  • Helping oversee an existing project in Edinburgh during the initial 3 4 weeks.
  • Working closely with the wider project and site teams to ensure works are properly planned and coordinated.
  • Maintaining strong communication with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Supporting the project through to construction and delivery as required.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Agent or Project Manager with a civil engineering background who is looking to work with a major contractor on a busy and potentially long-term programme of work., The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience as a Site Agent, Project Manager or similar within civil engineering.
  • Strong experience working with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing method statements and project documentation.
  • A strong understanding of pre-construction and project planning.
  • Experience working on large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also coordinating effectively with the wider project team.
  • Experience within the renewables sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

    Clarkson Owens Recruitment is currently working with a large civil engineering contractor to recruit a Site Agent / Project Manager for an upcoming renewables project.
    • The role will initially focus on pre-construction activities for a major renewables project in Dundee, with some involvement in an existing project in Edinburgh during the first few weeks.

  • Freelance position initially running until January.
  • Potential for a longer-term extension due to a strong and ongoing project pipeline.
  • Opportunity to work with a large civil engineering contractor.
  • Involvement in a significant renewables project.
  • Edinburgh-based with initial involvement in a Dundee project.
