Full Job Description

  • To drive continuous improvement in staff engagement, confirming progress by use of agreed metrics (such as positive GSK Survey results)

  • To support the site strategy by building positive engagement with internal and external stakeholders

  • To deliver effective, high quality, and engaging communications to staff, with content originating from GSK, the local site leadership team (SLT) and when appropriate, from external sources (eg. government agencies)

  • To continuously improve the connection and understanding that site staff have with both companywide and local strategies.

  • To devise and implement internal communication strategies and plans, as well as adapting central initiatives to ensure they are inclusive and appropriate for the manufacturing environment and its complexities (e.g. shift working, Translate site objectives and strategy and information from the Site Leadership Team into engaging formats to ensure site staff are aligned to the business priorities, our values and culture.

  • Creating and implementing improvement plans based on Engagement surveys or audits, ensuring site delivers demonstrated improvement. Coaching of leaders and non-leaders in effectively achieving site engagement goals and in effective management of change.

  • Developing and improving external stakeholder engagement, both inside and outside GSK, by effectively presenting positive site productivity, performance and reputation messages. Develop and maintain good personal relationships with the local media, so that site integrity in the handling of media enquiries is enhanced.

  • Close liaison with Site Director and SLT in effectively translating GSK, GSC or GSK strategy to ensure delivery of consistent strategic messages on site. Provide people input into site strategic programmes to ensure that Engagement is effectively considered, included and measured.

  • Establish, sustain and participate in agreed programme of liaison with the local community so that the image of GSK and the healthcare industry are positively promoted. This includes point of contact for effectively dealing with general public requests for information and literature, as well as coordination of activities with local community groups.

  • Within agreed budget, plan and manage site donations and / or sponsorship to charities and community groups in order to maximise community relations benefits to the site., We believe in an agile working culture for all our roles.   • Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • HND/HNC qualification in appropriate discipline or significant process experience.
