Site Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading contractor for two Site Engineers to support the delivery of major industrial and construction projects across Aberdeen.

The projects involve the construction of reinforced concrete structures, concrete floors, industrial buildings, and associated infrastructure works. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline extending well into 2027, our client is looking to appoint two engineers with complementary skillsets.

The successful candidates will join an experienced project team and play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of works.

Position 1 – Site Engineer (Setting Out)

This role will focus primarily on the setting out and technical delivery of works on site.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out setting out for reinforced concrete structures, foundations, slabs, steel frame buildings, and associated works.

- Ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and tolerances.

- Operate surveying equipment including GPS and robotic total stations.

- Produce and maintain accurate site records and as-built information.

- Assist site management with planning and coordinating daily activities.

- Identify and resolve technical issues on site.

- Support quality assurance processes and inspections.

Requirements

- Proven setting out experience within civil engineering or construction projects.

- Experience working on RC structures, concrete floors, industrial or commercial developments.

- Proficiency with surveying equipment and interpretation of technical drawings.

- Strong organisational and communication skills.

- Full UK driving licence.

Position 2 – Senior Site Engineer

This role will focus on quality assurance, technical compliance, and client-facing responsibilities while providing engineering support to the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes across the project.

- Manage inspections, test plans, and completion documentation.

- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

- Review construction methodologies and ensure compliance with project specifications.

- Support and mentor junior engineers and site teams.

- Monitor progress and provide technical guidance to ensure successful project delivery.

- Review and manage as-built records and handover documentation.

- Assist the project management team in maintaining programme and quality objectives.

Requirements

- Significant experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer within civil engineering or construction.

- Strong background in RC structures, industrial buildings, and concrete works.

- Experience managing QA/QC procedures and project documentation.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to coordinate engineering activities and provide technical leadership on site.

- Full UK driving licence.

Rates are dependent on experience, with start dates ideally as soon as possible.
