Setting Out Engineer | Long-Term Civil Engineering Projects | Glasgow Area

We're working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and groundwork projects across the Greater Glasgow area. Due to a growing workload, they're looking to appoint a Setting Out Engineer who can join the team immediately and play a key role across multiple live sites.

This is an opportunity to secure long-term work, expected to run into 2027, with a steady pipeline of projects ranging from traditional groundworks and infrastructure packages through to more technically challenging civil engineering schemes.

You'll be involved in a mix of works including:

• Roads and infrastructure
• Drainage and utilities
• Foundations and earthworks
• Reinforced concrete elements
• Retaining structures
• Specialist foundation packages

The role will see you supporting several projects across the Glasgow region, including schemes in and around the city centre, giving you exposure to a varied and interesting workload rather than being tied to a single site.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civils or groundworks projects
• Confident using modern surveying equipment (Trimble, Leica or similar)
• Ability to work independently while liaising closely with site teams
• Strong understanding of QA, as-builts and site documentation
• Available to start within the next few weeks
