Site Engineer / Supervisor

Peace Recruitment is working in partnership with an established family-owned Civils Contractor based in Glasgow. They require an experienced Site Engineer / Supervisor in Glasgow City Centre for circa 6 weeks starting May 6th. 

Hourly rate is £28 to £32 per hour (CIS). SSSTS or SMSTS is required.

As a Freelance Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the engineering aspects of concrete frames, steel structures and bolt pads. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can ensure the project is executed to the highest standards within the specified timeframe.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather relevant project data.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide construction activities.
• Set out and level the site using advanced surveying equipment.
• Monitor and manage site health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Provide technical advice and support to the project team.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities and submit regular progress reports.
• Ensure work is carried out in compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering projects.
• Proficient in the use of surveying equipment and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
