BAM Ritchies of BAM UK&I require a Site Manager to work within the Geotechnical Engineering department of their business. As a Site Manager you are expected to play a leading role in the planning and execution of our works, across the UK to the exacting standard expected of our customers.

Your mission

  • Contribute to tender stage and site phase methodology

  • Implement and promote safe systems of work over all activities

  • Directly supervise section/trades foreman and sub-contractors

  • Supervise operations through effective delegation

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures

  • Assist development of the workforce and identify training requirements

  • Ensure high standard of quality on the works to at least meet the specification requirements

  • SMSTS

  • PTS

  • First Aid at Work

  • Medium Risk Confined Space Level 2 C&G or greater (desired but training can be provided)

  • Strong personal skills to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Promote a culture of exceeding expectations

  • Awareness of project and business goals and able to relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement with business

  • Practical experience and knowledge of a comprehensive range of ground engineering methods and techniques

  • You motivate and develop your team to work with each other and constructively help to resolve problems practical
