Site Manager

Conrad Consulting are excited to be working with an established main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a major multi-million-pound new build project in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to take responsibility for a significant package of works within a large-scale project, working alongside an experienced site team.

The Role of the Site Manager:

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of works on site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities of the Site Manager:

• Managing subcontractors and site operatives on a daily basis
• Coordinating site activities and ensuring works are delivered in line with the programme
• Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team
• Managing short-term programmes and lookaheads
• Monitoring progress, quality and productivity
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements
• Attending site meetings and coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders
• Identifying and resolving any issues that could impact programme or delivery
• Ensuring works are completed to the required specification and quality standards
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the project team

Requirements of the Site Manager:

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in large-scale new build construction.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager on large construction projects
• Experience delivering multi-million-pound projects
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Good understanding of health & safety and quality requirements
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to work effectively within a large project team
• Previous experience with a Tier 1 or major main contractor would be advantageous
