Site Manager – Holiday Cover

Location: Musselburgh
Contract: 8th October – 19th October
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm | Friday 8:00am–3:30pm

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a live construction project in Musselburgh.

The project is just getting started and is currently in the early stages, so we are looking for someone who can confidently step onto site, take responsibility for the day-to-day management and keep everything running smoothly while the existing Site Manager is away.

This is a short-term opportunity running for just over one week, with a start date of 8th October and the contract potentially running through to 19th October.

The Role:

• Managing the day-to-day activities on site
• Supervising subcontractors and site operatives
• Ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standards
• Monitoring progress and coordinating site activities
• Maintaining site documentation and paperwork
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
• Liaising with the wider project team and contractors
• Taking responsibility for the site while providing holiday cover

About You:

• Previous experience working as a Site Manager
• Background in either Civil Engineering or Joinery
• Confident managing a site and coordinating trades
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
• Able to work independently and take ownership of site operations
• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid certificates required

Working Hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am–3:30pm
• Candidates should be prepared to be on site and ready to start for 8:00am
