Skilled CNC Machinist

A number of outstanding opportunities have arisen for contract positions at our Inchinnan facility. We are looking for multiple Skilled General Machinists to join on a 12-month contract. Please note this role is going to be on a rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoon and nights).

As a Skilled General Machinist your accountabilities would be:

• Multi-skilled Engineer with the ability to use a range of machine tools manufacturing high quality aerospace components.
• You must be able to critique your own work undertaking both visually and dimensionally inspecting components.
• Loading and unloading various process equipment.
• Feeding back information to Manufacturing Engineer and team.
• Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process.
• Work within strict HS&E guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Working as part of a team to deliver customer needs in a high volume, target driven environment to follow processes and procedures to a standard as already defined.

Qualifications & Experience required of a Skilled General Machinist:

• Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3/SVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline.(Original trade papers must be available for review at interview).
• Ability to work a multi-shift pattern including nights (payment included in salary offering).
• Experience of working in a Manufacturing Environment, in an operator role within a volume manufacturing environment, with the ability to safely achieve performance targets.
• Experience of working with Nickel and Steel and Titanium Alloys would be beneficial.
• An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings is desirable.
• We work within a cutting-edge manufacturing facility, so a basic IT knowledge is essential.
