Full Job Description
To provide all aspects of Skilled Labouring work for Maintenance, Property Maintenance or Contracts section to domestic and non-domestic properties ensuring that all such works are carried out in a manner that positively contributes to a high quality, responsive and cost-effective service which meets service and customer expectations. The range of buildings work is carried out on includes domestic housing, sheltered housing, care homes, offices, libraries, theatres and conference centres, sports complexes, leisure centres and swimming pools, community centres, schools, nurseries, fire stations and works depots. These range from single storey buildings to multi storey and from standard construction methods to more bespoke and more complex constructed buildings. Tasks within the role include:
- To clear and unblock main rain and soil drainage systems, surface water drainage systems, internal soil drainage systems using power cleaning equipment, drain rods and other equipment as appropriate.
- To remove / lift slabs, drain covers, access panels etc. for access to drainage systems and replace on completion test and ensure correct operation of piped and surface rainwater systems, soil drainage systems etc. completion of works for effective operation
- To remove and renew rotary driers & galvanised clothes poles.
- To remove carpet, vinyl, laminated flooring and other floor coverings complete with underlay, screwed metal door and jointing strips, etc ensuring minimum damage and disturbance to decoration and fittings and dispose of debris.
- To carry out all types of property, house and garden clear outs, cleaning etc.
- To carry out all general fencing work necessary to assist other trades to carry out their duties.

- General construction industry Health & Safety training.
