Full Job Description

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Fitness Assistant to join our team at Larkhall Leisure Centre. The successful applicant will support our customers on their fitness journey, building rapport quickly to engage and educate them on the latest fitness trends and support them through their training as well as ensuring that the gym is kept clean and tidy., Overall Purpose

To assist and contribute to the safe and effective running of all club activities

Key Tasks

To promote SLLC memberships options to all existing and potential members in line with targets.

To ensure safe and effective usage of the gym environment for Club users, fellow staff and oneself.

To co-ordinate and provide corporate and site specific retention initiatives.

To carryout cleaning and preventative maintenance duties.

You must hold a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, relevant HNC or equivalent.

Applicants must have excellent interaction skills. Experience of working within a gym environment would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.

Please note: The interview process will include an interview and a practical session

Requirements
