Small Works / Building Manager

The Opportunity

An established Scottish contractor is seeking a hands-on Small Works / Building Manager to oversee a varied portfolio of smaller building projects, refurbishments and alterations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple small works, refurbishment and general building contracts
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant and materials
• Monitor programmes, budgets, quality and safety
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Support estimating, quotations and tender submissions
• Control variations, costs and project profitability
• Develop repeat business and positive client relationships

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in small works, refurbishment or general building
• Practical knowledge across building trades
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and subcontractors
• Good estimating, budgeting and organisational skills
• SMSTS or SSSTS desirable
• Relevant qualification or equivalent
