Defender Insurance Solicitor

You will be working alongside three recognised Law Society of Scotland Specialists in Personal Injury Law whose experience includes a number of significant cases, such as appeals to the House of Lords concerning limitation in abuse cases and to the Inner House of the Court of Session regarding the applicability of workplace regulations.

As well as assisting our Partners with reviewing evidence, drafting correspondence and court documents. Ensuring that clients are confident that their legal affairs are dealt with in a professional and competent manner, and to ensure the efficient operation of the team.

You will be asked to carry out Advocacy at procedural hearings, debates and proofs.

You will need p revious experience within a similar role handling a full case load of pre-litigated and litigated defender matters.

A knowledge or experience of Personal Injury Clams; preferably Defendant and / or previous experience working within the insurance sector however, we welcome applications from those with a Pursuer background.

Advocacy experience is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious junior Solicitor, looking to gain exposure on high value, complex matters supporting a Partner whilst managing a caseload.

You will need to bring an enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude with a desire to achieve and exceed targets combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ability to demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving is desirable.
