Full Time Available, Part Time / Job Share Applications Also Welcome

£88,118 - £100,011 p.a. for basic 10 PA appointment with EPAs available subject to mutual agreement.  Out of hours on-call supplement also payable.

The Role

A Specialist Doctor post in General Adult Psychiatry is available within the South Community Mental Health Team in the Scottish Borders.  The successful applicant, accountable to the consultant, will provide senior medical input to the South Sector of the Scottish Borders, delivering care and promoting a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency approach. As part of the General Adult Psychiatry jobplan, if desired, sessions can be available to support the established and embedded Perinatal Service or to take a new leadership role in Eating Disorders.  

You must have full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice.  Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years experience since primary medical qualification including at least 6 years experience at Specialty Doctor level or equivalent in General Adult Psychiatry. Applicants should be an Approved Medical Practitioner or willing to gain approval once in post.  MRC Psych or equivalent is also essential.
