Help shape how we connect with the stakeholders and communities who rely on the ferry services we provide.

At CalMac, stakeholders in island and coastal communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Manager to lead how we build meaningful, trusted relationships across our network.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive our stakeholder engagement strategy, ensuring a consistent, transparent and community-first approach across all touchpoints.

You’ll work collaboratively across teams, influence how we communicate, and play a key role in delivering our Community Fund, maximising social value where it matters most.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and embedding CalMac’s stakeholder engagement strategy
  • Re-establishing and managing our Community Fund, including governance and delivery partners
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with communities, stakeholders and colleagues
  • Supporting projects with clear, effective engagement and communications plans
  • Improving how we track, measure and report engagement activity and social impact
  • Representing CalMac at events, consultations and community forums
  • Ensuring consistent, clear and engaging communication across all channels

What you’ll bring

  • Experience managing a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Background in communications, community or stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to simplify complex information and communicate it effectively
  • Confidence handling challenging conversations
  • Strong influencing skills – you can win hearts and minds
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Knowledge of the CalMac network (desirable)

Why join us?

This is your opportunity to make a visible difference to island communities, building trust and shaping how CalMac engages across its entire network.
