Full Job Description

You will use your clinical knowledge, skills and decision-making abilities to conduct stepped care assessments. You will draw on your experience as a clinical expert to assess and determine the best support and treatment plan for individuals, whilst providing a robust report to the employer. Additionally, you will provide time-limited counselling for individuals in compliance with the BACP Ethical Framework and in consideration of quality and consistency of service delivery and facilitate delivery of our bespoke individual and group structured professional support sessions.,

  • The primary focus of this role will be completing diarised referrals and assessments and establishing positive relationships with the individuals

  • Conducting thorough and consultative verbal assessments with individuals who may be experiencing complex or long-term mental health concerns

  • Identifying suitable care pathway for individuals and provide management recommendations recorded in the robust written report to the employer

  • To follow risk and safeguarding procedures when risk is reported in stepped care assessments and/or counselling sessions/ other therapeutic interventions

  • To use proven therapeutic skills to provide time-limited counselling to employees referred by their employer

  • Providing robust counselling discharge reports at the completion of time-limited counselling sessions

  • Following in house training, you will deliver bespoke packages to clients such as individual and group structured professional support sessions

  • Work with the clinical support team to maximise your diary management of 7 contact hours per day

  • Attend monthly one-to-one and team meetings

  • Work effectively within your team and the wider business

  • Work on additional projects to support the department

    L4, L5, BA, PG Cert, PG Dip or MA/ MSc in counselling/ psychotherapy essential. CBT or EMDR desirable.

  • Minimum of 450 hours of counselling, psychotherapy, (CBT, EMDR)

  • BACP (COSCA, BABCP/ UKCP or EMDR Association) accredited or eligible for accreditation (must apply for accreditation)

  • Experience of safeguarding and managing risk with client groups

  • Highly organised and driven individual with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise

  • Effective Communication skills in order to liaise with customers, other departments and colleagues to achieve the best outcome for our customers and the business, Do you hold a postgraduate diploma in counselling, psychotherapy, CBT or equivalent?
