Location: Allan Water/Mobile 

Join our Housing Property Services team and play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs, asbestos management, and energy efficiency improvements across our housing stock.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Stock Condition Surveyor to help provide a customer-focused, multi-skilled repairs and maintenance service. You’ll work closely with tenants, contractors, and council teams to ensure properties are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.

We welcome applications from candidates who may not currently meet all of the essential criteria but can demonstrate relevant skills, experience, and a willingness to learn. For the right candidate, this role may be offered as a development opportunity (Grade 7 salary £31,662- £33,507) with appropriate training and support provided to help achieve the required qualifications and competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out stock condition surveys and property inspections internally and externally
  • Conduct asbestos surveys, sampling, monitoring, and safe management in line with HSE guidance
  • Complete EPC assessments and identify properties failing EESSH standards
  • Maintain accurate asbestos and property condition records using specialist software
  • Identify and report repairs and health & safety risks during inspections
  • Support repairs, glazing inspections, and maintenance operations
  • Work collaboratively with trades teams, subcontractors, and housing services
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with legislation and Council standards

Essential Requirements

  • P402 Asbestos Bulk Sampling & Management qualification
  • Level 3 Diploma for Domestic Energy Assessors
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and building maintenance
  • Good communication and IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
