Stockperson / General Farmworker

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for farming and rural living.

There are around 80 breeding cattle, calving in the spring.

Experience working with cattle essential with good record keeping skills.

Full time permanent position.

Proven longevity in previous roles.

We offer a competitive salary and pension, with a good cottage and a vehicle for work duties.

The nearest town is 30 minutes away, with excellent  schools and doctors locally.

Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities include :

• Daily feeding and care of cattle and sheep
• Preparing stock for market and arranging transport
• General farm maintenance, fencing etc
• The ability to operate farm machinery and ATVs safely
• Seasonal tasks as required, silage mowing, baling and wrapping, topping, rolling, spraying, spreading fertiliser etc.
• Keeping all equipment in good working order, and clean and tidy.
• Management of the pastures.
