Clear Links Support is recruiting for One-to-One Study Skills Specialists to support students studying at Edinburgh College.
The role:
You will be working with students to provide strategies to develop the study skills required when studying in higher and further education. This can include developing skills in time management, essay planning, improving spelling and grammar, as well as strategies to develop students' memory, organisation and referencing skills.
Pay: £30 per hour plus £3.62 holiday pay per hour.

Role requirements:
Applicants must have:
- A degree AND one of the following:
- A teaching qualification
- A relevant PG qualification
- Professional experience supporting individuals with disabilities
Membership of one of the following professional bodies is desirable but not essential: BDA, PATOSS, Dyslexia Guild, ADSHE
It is desirable that applicants have experience in a similar role within the last five years. Applicants should also have an understanding of the impact of disabilities in the further/higher education context.
Applicants must be available to provide in person support at Edinburgh College Sighthill Campus. Granton and Milton road campuses desirable.
Applicants must be able to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
By the start of employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. This post is also subject to satisfactory references, a background check under the PVG Scheme, as well as other applicable pre-employment checks.
