Full Job Description

This is a hands-on, front-facing role where problem-solving and organisational skills must be sharp. Programme Managers are responsible for the overall smooth-running of the centre. Their main responsibilities are to ensure students and staff are safe and happy and to follow policies and procedures as requested by the ANGLO Head Office. An overview of the role follows:

  • Oversee the centre management team to make sure that effective management takes place.

  • Assist with the implementation of all parts of the programme.

  • Uphold a professional working relationship with ANGLO staff, group leaders, students and venue staff.

  • Carry out quality control, ensure customer satisfaction and provide feedback., Read and understand the PM Manual, Safeguarding Manual and Staff Handbook and be familiar with all roles and responsibilities before arrival at your centre.

  • Ensure at all times that staff are mindful of their duty of care in the welfare and safety of students, and that rules are followed in this regard.

  • Ensure that the organisation of the centre, the courses we offer, and welfare of staff and students are in compliance with British Council and English UK guidelines. (Documentation will be provided to you)

  • Be aware of everything that is happening in your centre.

  • Daily check-in with your line manager

  • Implement smooth and effective communication between the venue, your management team, Head Office, and where necessary, agents.

  • Create and maintain clear lines of management and effective procedures - working alongside centre managers (AM, TM) to achieve this.

  • Promote a friendly but professional team atmosphere and motivate staff effectively.

  • Focus on excellent service and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage expenses at your centre (full training will be provided regarding finances).


  • Teaching expenses are managed by the Teaching Manager

  • Attend mandatory training (online in May/June).

    You have previously done a similar role (i.e. a managerial role in a summer camp environment)

  • You are educated to degree level

  • You have excellent spoken and written English

  • You are an outgoing, friendly individual with effective communication skills

  • You are number literate

  • Computer literate and competent with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, GMail etc)

  • You are a quick thinker and problem solver

  • You love working with people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds

  • You are not averse to public speaking

  • You are enthusiastic and up for challenges


  • Desirable
  • You have experience managing expenses

  • You have other (non-summer camp) previous management and leadership experience

  • You have other (non-summer camp) experience working with children


  • All ANGLO staff are required to have enhanced DBS clearance
  • to begin work. The application process will be explained to you if you receive a job offer.


  • If you spend most of the year outside the UK, we will ask you to provide a Police Records Check issued by the country in which you reside
