Join us as a Supervising Electronics Engineer at our BUTEC sites in the Kyle of Lochalsh and Applecross, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleThe Supervising Electronics Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating the maintenance, development, testing, and deployment of electronic systems that support BUTEC's maritime range instrumentation, underwater tracking, communications, and data acquisition capabilities. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring engineering activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with, defence, maritime, industrial, telecommunications, or similar technical environmentProven experience supervising engineering teams and managing technical work programmesStrong knowledge of electronic test equipment, fault-finding techniques, and system integrationExperience producing technical documentation, reports, and engineering proceduresExperience with underwater instrumentation, sonar systems, RF communications, telemetry, or data acquisition systemsEssential qualifications for the Supervising Electronics Engineer:Knowledge of networked electronic systems and industrial control systemsWe value difference and we don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per week based at the BUTEC sites, Kyle of Lochalsh and Applecross and is based full time onsite.BUTECBUTEC (British Underwater Test & Evaluation Centre) is a specialised
