Domestic Support Worker - Yell (Ref: 189800)

Bank post

Band 2 - Salary Range £23,362 to £25,368 pro-rata per annum

Plus Distant Island Allowance of £2,256 pro-rata per annum

We are looking to recruit to the Hotel Services Bank staff for Yell health Centre.  Bank working arrangements are used to cover shifts/part shifts where, for example, we have vacant posts or unexpected absence/illness.  We currently have vacancies on the Bank for the following:

The purpose of this role is to ensure a clean environment through the removal of dust, dirt, debris, liquids to prevent the spread of infection, preserve the life of the building, fabric and furnishings whilst providing a clinical and/or socially acceptable environment which may include clinical areas, departments, offices and public areas.

We are looking for candidates with a good level of basic education and good communication skills, who are able to follow instructions. Initial training and induction takes place in the first few days of starting post, then support from other colleagues will be provided until the new post holder is fully competent in all areas of work.

You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role details can be viewed at www.workinginhealth.com/standards/healthcaresupportworkers. Bank posts do not involve regular hours but you may be offered casual work when available. A full induction programme will be arranged within the relevant location.
