Job Title: Autism Support Worker
Location: Edinburgh

Job Description: We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Workers to join our team. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing practical and emotional support to individuals with autism, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their personal goals.
Responsibilities:
* Providing one-to-one support to individuals with autism in their home or community settings
* Supporting individuals with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
* Assisting with educational and recreational activities
* Implementing behaviour management strategies and supporting individuals to develop coping mechanisms
* Providing emotional support and promoting independence and wellbeing
* Liaising with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with individuals with autism or learning disabilities is preferred but not essential
* Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and knowledge of appropriate support strategies
* Compassionate and patient nature
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Willingness to undergo training and development
