Atkinson Road and Charnwood Gardens support people with disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own homes. The people we support require varied levels of support with their daily needs. As a support worker joining the teams you will assist with the customers personal care, support with activities/outings medication administration and working towards personal outcomes/goals for individuals. Both services are located within walking distance of the town centre and close to local bus routes. It would be of benefit for successful applicants to hold a driving licence as many of the customers have use of their own cars and access activities/daily outings. You will be required to work shifts, both early & backshifts although this is subject to change to meet individual needs. You will also be required to carry out sleepovers in the service to ensure assistance if available if required during the night. Your Role: Make a Difference Every Day! As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Providing essential support with daily tasks such as personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
- Assisting customers during outings and appointments, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
- Promoting independence through our Person-Centred approach, helping individuals achieve their personal aspirations.
- Keeping accurate records to ensure the highest standards of care.
