We are currently recruiting caring and reliable Support Workers in Dumfries to join our team and make a meaningful difference in their local community.
Shift Options
We offer a variety of shift patterns to help you balance work with your lifestyle.
Available shifts include:
7:00am - 7:00pm: Drivers only
9:30am - 2:30pm: Walkers or drivers welcome
4:00pm - 6:30pm: Walkers or drivers welcome
Bank/Relief: Flexible, ad-hoc shifts based on your availability
Applicants must be able to work on a rota basis, including weekends.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to people in their own homes. You'll support individuals with a variety of daily living tasks, including:
Personal care and hygiene
Meal preparation and serving
Medication prompts and administration
Catheter care
Companionship and emotional support

Whether you're experienced in care or looking to start a new career, we welcome applicants who have a genuine passion for helping others. No previous care experience is required, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
We're looking for individuals who are:

Excellent communicators in spoken and written English
Committed to delivering high standards of care

Able to work on a rota basis, including alternate weekends
Drivers with access to a vehicle for our 7:00am - 7:00pm shifts, although walkers are welcome to apply for our shorter shifts
This role is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Adults under the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scotland Act 2007. A PVG check will be required for successful applicants.
