Survey Assistant

An exciting opportunity to join the Assessor Service at a time of significant change and development within Valuation for Non-Domestic Rating and Council Tax. You will provide a dedicated technical support service for the Assessor in the maintenance of the Council Tax Valuation List & Valuation Roll to enhance the quality and quantity of valuation information. The Role Key tasks in the role include:

• Survey, measurement and inspection of properties.
• Creation and maintenance of digital property files.
• Operation of in-house computer systems and databases.
• Organising own workload to meet deadlines and make best use of resources.
• Preparation of survey reports.
• Research and collation of information required to assist in appeals, proposals and valuations.
• Working as a member of a team.
  
  You will be required to undertake on the job training. You should have good literacy and numeracy skills and be competent using various IT software packages. The postholder will have a positive, professional and responsible attitude and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring strict deadlines are achieved. You will have the ability to work as part of a team or individually., At least 5 SCE Standard Grades (or equivalent) at Level 3 or above, or equivalent relevant experience
