SVQ Assessor

14 hours per week

£35,553 - £38,309 pro rata
£19.48 - £20.99 per hour
The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance.
You will report to the Health and Care SVQ Co-ordinator.
Your working pattern will be flexible with preferred core hours on Tuesday.
The purpose of this role is to assess Health and Social Care SVQ awards at SVQ 2 (Level6) and SVQ 3 (Level 7) undertaken by candidates employed by local care services.
Your role will include supporting candidates undertaking SVQ 2 and 3 in Social Services & Healthcare, working closely with the SVQ team and employers to monitor student progress, enhancing practice with relevant occupational standards, visiting candidates in their place of work for observed assessment, keeping timely and accurate records and planning assessments. A key part of the role is also candidate induction, support and guidance. Knowledge and experience of relevant healthcare/social care codes of practice are required.

This post requires a Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
