Full Job Description
As a Clerical Assistant you will undertake a wide variety of admin duties including, providing a front line reception service, greeting and welcoming visitors, fielding phone calls, provide administration support to the Unit Manager and all residential care staff, provide a word processing service, maintaining spreadsheets, arranging meetings using the outlook facility, annual archiving, maintain inventory of all tools and equipment within the establishment, data inputting to our Social Work case management system, use Multi Functional Devices, scanning and indexing documents, petty cash including reconciliation, and other general admin tasks to support our colleagues who provide a frontline service to the community., Applicants are responsible for providing evidence of the Overseas Criminal Record Check. The check must be translated into English and should come from the police, judicial authority, government department or home embassy of the country or countries concerned. The check must include an official statement confirming that the applicant does not have any history of or pending criminal record proceedings. Checks may be carried out to authenticate the documents provided.
We welcome applications from people who have an excellent knowledge of IT packages. Ideally you will have experience of working as a receptionist or within an office, however this will not be essential as you will be given full training.,

- Do you have experience within administration or are you ready to learn and develop in this area?
- Do you have excellent communication skills, confident in dealing with people at all levels?, Efficient - Please detail your work or educational experience which demonstrates your ability to undertake the duties of an administration post.
- Performing - Please provide us details of a time where you used your initiative to undertake a task to solve a problem - a) what was the issue and b) what was the outcome.
- Working with Others - This role involves working as part of a team. Please describe a) what you believe makes a good team and b) what strength or skills you would bring to a team?, An Overseas Criminal Records Check is required where applicants born outside the UK (Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years.
