Full Job Description
The Talent Acquisition and Development Partner is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the strategies and processes related to talent acquisition and colleague development. This is an end-to-end talent role that ensures that DC Thomson attracts, develops and retains talent, aligning with business objectives and fostering a high-performance and learning culture.,
- Talent Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with the company's short-term and long-term goals.
- Candidate Sourcing: Identify, engage, and attract top talent through various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, networking, and colleague referrals.
- Employer Branding: Work on enhancing the company's employer brand to attract high-quality candidates by promoting our culture, values, and opportunities.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact through onboarding.
- Selection Process: Manage the selection process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and selection of candidates, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyse recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of the recruitment strategy and processes, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Implement and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives in recruitment practices to build a diverse workforce. Talent Development
- Talent Development Programs: Work closely with our organisational development partners to design, implement, and manage learning and development programs to enhance employee skills, performance, and career progression.
- Succession Planning: Collaborate with leadership to identify talent and develop succession plans for key positions within the company.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Facilitate coaching and mentoring programs to support employee growth and development.
- Onboarding: Enhance the onboarding process to ensure new hires are well-integrated into the company culture and equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed.
- Career Pathing: Develop career pathing frameworks to help colleagues understand their potential career trajectories within the company., As part of the People and Culture team, you will work closely with stakeholders, both from across the business and within your own team. Some rituals the team will use to stay connected include:
- Fortnightly 1:1s on your activity and capacity.
- Regular growth and development discussions.
- Regular retrospectives to review how things are going as a team.
- Quarterly team planning and development activities.
Experience: Several years of experience in talent acquisition and development, with a proven track record in designing and implementing talent strategies. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Change Management: Experience in leading and managing change initiatives within an organisation.
- Cultural Awareness: Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all talent-related processes.
