West Dunbartonshire Council is looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and committed to sustaining school improvement and providing high quality learning and teaching, in line with key Council priorities or inclusion and raising the aspirations, achievements and attainment for all students., Evidence of Catholic Church Approval- Applicants must seek Catholic Church Approval when submitting their application for the post and a copy of the Approval should be provided to the Chair of the Panel prior to the interview. Where this is "pending" we will seek confirmation from our Church Representative that approval application has been submitted.

Denominational Primary Posts

Applicants for permanent posts in a denominational primary school must also have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate.

Applicants for denominational secondary schools need to have RC Approval for the school they are applying to.

Responsibilities

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found

here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
