Team Leader - Planning and Transport
Bankhead Depot
Salary: £34,452 - £40,501
Hours: 36 per week
Team Leaders are key members of the Roads Operations Team. If you want to be able to lead a team and say, 'I did that', 'I made a difference' and 'I made my mark', join our team and play a central role in leading and shaping the success of Roads Operations, delivering road and street maintenance and improvements, and keeping people moving safely about the City.
Each shift will operate between 07:30 and 15:45 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 12:30 on a Friday. This will include an unpaid 30-minute break.

We are looking for a Team Leader with vast experience in a roads environment to join our existing skilled roads operations teams.
To ensure our streets are maintained to the highest standards. to lead, organise and manage a team of Skilled Roadworkers, Specialist, Semi-Skilled and Trainee Roadworkers including, where appropriate, any sub-contractors and agency staff assigned to the team carrying out construction and maintenance services for roads, footways and other works including the response to a wide range of emergency situations including winter gritting operations.
To lead by example, undertaking a wide range of skilled road works tasks and providing on-site training and development for Trainee Roadworkers working in the team.
The successful applicants will have potential opportunity to increase earnings by working occasional overtime and winter maintenance.
Based at Bankhead Depot, Roads Operations offers an environment in which workers are valued and respected with a key focus on training and development of our staff to ensure they can undertake multiple different roads operations and develop their skills base.
Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
