Full Job Description

Are you ready to take on your next challenge and join our Area Operations team as a Technical Administrator within Gas Transmission?

You'll be a key member of team, responsible for issuing and managing transmission pipeline protection activities in relation to Helicopter Aerial Surveillance and Third Party Customer Enquiries. All work orders will be scheduled and dispatched by you to the Operational teams to ensure our pipelines are kept safe from third party damage.

You'll carry out Lone Working Procedure while managing and communicating fault updates to GNCC & Operations teams where reliability could be affected, this will be done through KPI reports ensuring defects are raised where required.

You'll take the lead on raising of purchase orders, managing of purchase orders for the area from start to finish. You'll track spend for Area Opex & Capex budgets by being the point of contact for queries and continually liaising with suppliers.

You'll provide evidence for incident investigations for near-misses, monitoring for faults during office hours while liaising with the gas network control room to identify the details of the fault and callout response. The technical knowledge you have built and will continue to build will make you best placed to assign faults to the relevant operational team ensuring they have the required capability & availability.

To be successful in this role you will have strong IT and communication skills in addition to being organised and thorough with a keen willingness to learn. You will be competent in using MS Excel for both planning and financial reporting / tracking.

Some of the planning related systems we use are currently being replaced as we implement Maximo so now is a good time to join us and learn how everything works as extensive training will be given on our new systems and processes.
