Temporary Security Guard

Job Description: We are seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals to fill temporary positions as Security Guards at various locations throughout South Africa. As a temporary Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets at assigned sites. You will be required to perform a range of security duties, including but not limited to patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, controlling access points, and responding to incidents.,

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activity.


• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and respond to security threats.


• Control access points by verifying credentials and authorizing entry of authorized personnel.


• Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents and activities.


• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical incidents, and criminal activity.


• Provide assistance and support to employees, visitors, and guests as needed.


• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services as required.


• Follow established procedures for the handling of hazardous materials and the enforcement of safety regulations.


• Conduct investigations into security breaches and incidents as directed.


• Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
  
  Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.


• Valid PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) registration.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security-related role.


• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Good physical condition, with the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.


• Clean criminal record.


• Additional certifications or training in first aid, firefighting, or related fields will be considered an advantage.
  
  Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience, with higher qualifications leading to higher pay.


• Successful candidates may be assigned to various locations and shifts based on operational requirements.
