Textiles Apprentice

Job purpose: At Johnstons of Elgin, we offer the Modern Apprenticeship in Textile Manufacturing or Sewn Products in nearly all our departments. We have had nearly 300 apprentices, from 16 to 60+, and are constantly growing our cohort.

After you have completed your initial training, you will have the opportunity to join the apprenticeship program.

What will I learn? Depending on the role, you may learn sewing skills, how to fix and maintain niche machinery or how to make and manufacture the finest textiles.

What qualifications or qualities are required? You do not need any qualifications for this role. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and who is willing to learn over anything else! A good level of colour vision is a must for any roles with us due to the nature of the materials worked with.
