Experteer Overview As Contract Manager you will provide end-to-end procurement and contract management support for onshore cable projects within the SHEPD area. You will help deliver multi-million projects across underground cables, overhead lines and substations, collaborating with the P&C team to optimise value and ensure safe, compliant delivery. The role blends commercial acumen with construction know-how, negotiating terms and managing project risks throughout the contract lifecycle. This position offers cross-location work options and a clear path to influence budgeting, cost reporting and supplier performance in a major energy infrastructure program. Pay / Benefits

  • Provide end-to-end procurement and contract management services for projects Manage commercial, business, and legal project risks; negotiate terms to ensure value for money Develop and implement procurement/commercial strategy aligned with project delivery Deliver budgeting, cost reporting and support KPI targets such as cost savings, value engineering and safety performance Build and maintain relationships with main suppliers/contractors and coordinate with project contacts Draft and refine construction contracts; manage pre/post-contract administration and commercial programme Research and present contract information clearly, including NEC ECC or similar forms Support negotiation and management of contracts and claims Promote safety policies and safe working practices across internal and external stakeholders Tasks Good working knowledge of UK construction contracts; essential experience with NEC ECC or similar Experience in negotiation and management of contracts Experience in bottom-up costing, budget management, contract administration and risk management Strong drafting skills for construction contracts Degree in Quantity Surveying preferred, other construction-related degrees with relevant experience will be considered Delivery-focused with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills Key requirements flexible benefits to fit your life private healthcare and gym membership discounts online GP and 24/7 counselling cycle to work scheme and interest-free loans maternity and adoption pay, paternity leave
