Experteer Overview In this role you drive the development of Scotland's high-voltage transmission assets, focusing on offshore cable systems and marine consenting. You work within a growing SSEN Transmission team to de-risk, plan, and deliver major offshore projects that support the net-zero transition. You will coordinate multi-stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, and route development to ensure projects are ready for construction. This is a high-impact role that shapes future energy infrastructure with a collaborative, safety-first mindset. Pay / Benefits

  • Lead marine survey, route development, and data gathering to support design, consenting and construction planning Oversee offshore cable route development from optioneering to landfall assessment and constructability reviews Manage marine consenting and environmental workstreams, including licence applications and impact assessments Build and maintain relationships with regulators, Crown Estate Scotland, fisheries, ports, landowners and other stakeholders Drive risk reduction and on-time delivery via stakeholder engagement, supply chain management, and governance reporting across marine workstreams Tasks Extensive experience in the early development phase of large offshore projects, ideally in electrical generation/transmission Proven ability to lead project interfaces across multiple stakeholders and external partners in a multi-contract NEC setting Strong knowledge of project management, risk management, and large capital project governance Experience with regulatory approvals and environmental considerations (beneficial: CDM 2015) Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders Degree qualification and professional PM qualification would be advantageous Key requirements Discounts on private healthcare and gym memberships Free online GP and 24/7 counselling service Interest-free loans for tech and transport season tickets / Cycle to Work Maternity and adoption pay, and paternity leave Flexible working options Salary 59,800 - 89,800 + car/allowance + bonus
