Title: Senior Development Project Manager (Marine)

Experteer Overview In this role you will shape the north Scotland offshore transmission future, leading marine development for major offshore projects within SSEN Transmission. You will work closely with stakeholders to de-risk, plan, and obtain approvals, aligning with the company's net-zero objectives. You'll manage multi-disciplinary workstreams-from route development to marine licensing-while advancing projects toward construction. • Lead marine survey, route development and optioning activities to support design, consenting and construction planning Manage offshore cable route development from optioneering to landfall assessment and constructability reviews Deliver marine consenting and environmental workstreams, including licences, EIA inputs and fisheries considerations Build and manage relationships with regulators, Crown Estate Scotland, fisheries, ports, landowners and other stakeholders Drive risk reduction and delivery across marine workstreams through stakeholder engagement, supply chain management, procurement support, and governance reporting Tasks Strong focus on health and safety and ability to influence it at the design stage Extensive experience in early development of large offshore projects, ideally in electrical generation/transmission, with exposure to consenting stages Proven leadership across multi-stakeholder interfaces and external supply chains in a multi-contract NEC environment Advanced knowledge of project management systems, risk management and large capital project governance; CDM 2015 experience beneficial Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders at all levels Degree qualification; professional body membership and PM qualification would be advantageous Key requirements car or car allowance performance-related bonus private healthcare discounts gym memberships online GP 24/7 counselling
