Experteer Overview In this role you guide the development of offshore transmission projects in the north of Scotland, shaping the grid for a net-zero future. You'll work with SSEN Transmission to move from early-site selection through planning and consenting toward construction readiness, balancing stakeholder needs and technical feasibility. You'll lead marine surveys, route development, and environmental workstreams while de-risking projects with cross-functional teams. The role offers high impact in a growth-focused, industry-leading organisation and a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and delivery. Pay / Benefits

  • Lead marine survey, investigation and route development activities to support route design, consenting and construction planning Manage offshore cable route development from optioneering and constraint mapping to landfall assessment and constructability reviews Deliver marine consenting and environmental workstreams including licence applications, environmental impact assessments and habitats assessments Build and manage relationships with regulators, Crown Estate Scotland, fisheries, ports, statutory consultees, landowners and other stakeholders Drive risk reduction and delivery through stakeholder engagement, supply chain management, procurement support, and governance reporting across marine workstreams Tasks Strong focus on health and safety in design and execution Extensive experience in early development phase of large offshore projects, preferably in electrical generation/transmission Proven ability to lead interfaces across multiple stakeholder groups and external supply chain partners; multi-contract delivery and NEC contracts Advanced knowledge of project management systems, risk management and large capital project governance Experience (beneficial) with CDM 2015 regulations Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders Degree qualification, membership of a professional body, and recognised Project Management qualification would be advantageous Key requirements private healthcare discounts gym memberships online GP 24/7 counselling Cycle to Work scheme family entitlements (maternity/adoption pay, paternity leave)
