Full Job Description
As a Trade Counter Supervisor based in Kilmarnock , you'll be responsible for:
- Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day activities
- Supervise and support the Trade Counter Assistants providing guidance, training and performance feedback
- Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge
- Building rapport with customers & suppliers, responding to any queries and processing sales
- General warehouse duties picking and packing the appropriate goods accurately and efficiently (T his will involve manual handling heavy items eg boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets)
Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable - A good understanding of dealing with suppliers
- Prior experience in a Face to Face customer service/sales environment
- Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers
- Some warehouse knowledge
- To be a team player who is keen to learn and happy to take on a diverse role to carry out all jobs in the branch to ensure it runs smoothly
- To be comfortable lifting heavy items
